Class description
Do you find the winter season a challenge to get through?
Do the holidays create more stress or sadness than joy?
Do you crave a deeper connection with yourself & your people?
Does the idea of stillness make you break out in a sweat?
A yes to any one of these questions is the reason you will want to join Claire and Jo for a weekend retreat as we withdraw from the busyness of every day; leaving the hustle and bustle of the holiday season and the compounding stressors of the past two years behind. The physical idea of winter and the figurative idea of going inside is daunting to most people. But winter is a time for going inside, a period of quiet reflection, finding stillness and truth. We will celebrate the closing of another year by honoring what we have come through in 2022 while releasing thoughts and beliefs that no longer serve us. Through intentional movement, mindful, grounded & empowering activities, we will reclaim our lives from the inherent chaos of today’s world and step back into our daily life renewed and refreshed.
Many of us are running through our lives, so busy that we are not fully present and alive. We push through winter, heads down and hoods up, hoping it flies by so we can finally enjoy spring again. But there is a warmth to be wrapped up in when going inside, both physically and figuratively. Winter is a time to slow down and rest, it is a time for introspection and presence, it is a time to nurture our souls and learn about ourselves so that we can be more intentional as we step into new beginnings; designing the life that we want to live…one “from which we do not wish to withdraw.”
Harnessing the energy of December’s full moon is the perfect time for releasing layers of stress and the pressure of keeping up with a life that may not be aligned with your authentic self, your truth. The deep quiet of the north woods, in the stillness of winter, is the perfect place for introspection. Together we will laugh & cry our way to the magic of going inside, so you leave this retreat with:
- A deeper understanding of yourself
- Tools to help move from your head to your heart & calm the nervous system
- A renewed desire to put yourself first through an easeful daily practice of mind, body & spirit connection
- A feeling of empowerment grounded in your weekend experience
- Connection to a tribe of likeminded people
"We withdraw not to disappear, but to find another ground from which to see; a solid ground from which to step, and from which to speak again, in a different way, a clear, rested, embodied voice we begin to remember again as our own." ~David Whyte
