Incredible Food
Our food is medicine and a huge part of our wellness journey.
Wild Rice Retreat Center takes great care to ensure that each meal is "soul nourishing". (We craft nutrient-dense menus based on our Chequamegon Bay farms' seasonal availability and supplement with organic, ethically sourced, and sustainably procured ingredients when necessary.)
Treehaus with Private Rooms
You will find your well curated accommodations nestled among the trees.
Each person or couple will have a private room with a queen bed. A communal gathering space is available in each Treehaus. If you are joining with a friend and want to share a room please let us know as we can access a Rice Pod with two twin beds. (Price is the same per person for single and shared spaces.)
biography
Thomasina Fisk
Thomasina is a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Center of Minneapolis. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Women Studies. Thomasina is practiced and trained in a variety of mind-body wellness modalities including sound meditation.
She holds space for her group and private students throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota. Her facilitation style focuses on practices and modalities that cultivate emotional, physical and spiritual wellness. The tools for regulating the nervous system and engaging vitality are within us. She believes we always have the power to shift our experience.
Sound Meditation, Attention Training, Yoga and Breathwork have proved to be a powerful combination in coming back to the self.
They are the anchor and the guide.
Thomasina and Bob Fisk run a community wellness studio called Waking Nomad. They are based out of Marine on St. Croix, MN. They bring their experiential workshops, private sessions and retreats wherever they are needed.
When Thomasina is not facilitating she is often enjoying sunsets, nature, her family, music and a good road trip to the mountains.
Bob Fisk
Sound Meditation Facilitator and Mind-Body Instructor
Bob has been a musician and sound enthusiast for over 20 years. He studied Philosophy and Psychology and has a passion for helping people come alive.
He shares his knowledge about sound meditation and other psycho-spiritual development practices in workshops and private sessions around the Twin Cities area.
His teaching style focuses on working with attention and coaching practitioners to listen judiciously with an open curiosity. This technique has helped people experience a reprieve from the busy mind. It can free up repressed emotions and unconscious material leaving practitioners feeling a greater sense of wholeness and purpose.
When he is not playing an instrument, Bob enjoys raising the children that he and Thomasina have brought into the world.
